HEY! I'm Allison, the owner and creator of Unorthodox Salon.
I first created Unorthodox as a brand back in 2020. Soon after, I found the perfect little space to begin my journey as a salon owner. By November 2021, I opened the current home of Unorthodox.
My vision was to have a homey space with an elevated feel, and to provide an incredible client experience. I pride myself on offering a clean, safe, welcoming space for both clients and stylists to feel comfortable in. Stylists I house have autonomy over their business, and freedom to be themselves. The creativity, growth, and passion is palpable in our environment.
I hope anyone who steps through the door feels welcomed, safe, and comfortable. I've created and implemented many little, thoughtful things that have a big impact on the experience in my salon. I can't wait for you see it for yourself.

Advanced Stylist | Balayage + Haircutting Specialist
Everyone meet Zak! He loves color services, blonding, and cutting. Are you wanting something different? Bold? He loves to do fashion colors too. You can find him talking about his 3 dogs - Apollo, River, and Storm. Zak will make sure you look and feel your best when you're sitting in his chair. He has limited availability (probably from all his raving reviews!) You can reach him on Instagram or use our booking link to schedule your next 'hairapy' session with him!
Sara
Master Stylist | Curly Specialist
Meet Sara! Sara has been in the hair industry for 7 years. She is a Florida native but grew up in Greenville/Taylors since she was 8 years old. Outside of work, Sara is a big Disney fan (otherwise known as a Disney adult). She loves to read and hangout with her husband, Adam and their fur baby, Harley.
Sara specializes in lived-in color techniques, curly hair care and styling, and brunette coloring.
Although her clientele is mostly built, she is still accepting new clients!
Elise
Master Stylist | Color Specialist
Meet Elise, one of UDX’s newest additions. She specializes in rich reds and brunettes but loves to play with lightened lived-in locks. If you are looking to leave more confident and need a stylist who loves taking on a challenge then look no further. Elise comes with 10 years of experience in the industry and a true understanding of the chemistry of color. She will make you feel at home the instant you hit the chair and have you cracking up by the time you leave.
Lily
Junior Stylist
Introducing Lily!
Lily is so excited to be starting her career as a stylist. She is born and raised here in Spartanburg, and attended Paul Mitchell for cosmetology school. Lily has a chihuahua named Woody and is known for being our talkative extrovert who's always asking what is for lunch here at Unorthodox. She loves doing blonding, blowouts, and long layered haircuts.

Raegan
Junior Stylist
Everyone meet Raegan!
Raegan is a local from Powdersville, SC. She received her cosmetology license May 2022 and recently finished her assistantship with Allison. Raegan loves doing highlighting and long haircuts. She is now taking clients and building her clientele. Come enjoy Raegan's scalp massage, sweet southern charm, and silly personality!

Finn
Therapy Dog
The best greeter you'll ever meet. Finn is originally from Ohio and was adopted in 2017 by his mom, Allison. Finn has been with Unorthodox since it very first opened in 2021. He is a six-year-old English Setter & Pitbull mix (yes you read that right!) Finn became a registered therapy dog in 2018 after going through training back home in Ohio. He has the best personality, and the softest fur! We hope you don't mind cuddles and giving pets. You can find Finn sleeping around the salon hopping to different chairs, greeting guests as they come in, looking for his mom, and roaming around to see who will give him love.
Finn is accepting new clients to cuddle, and he cant wait to meet you!
