Introductions
HEY! I'm Allison, the owner and creator of Unorthodox Salon.

I first created Unorthodox as a brand back in 2020. Soon after, I found the perfect little space to begin my journey as a salon owner. By November 2021, I opened the current home of Unorthodox.
​
My vision was to have a homey space with an elevated feel, and to provide an incredible client experience. I pride myself on offering a clean, safe, welcoming space for both clients and stylists to feel comfortable in. Stylists I house have autonomy over their business, and freedom to be themselves. The creativity, growth, and passion is palpable in our environment.

I hope anyone who steps through the door feels welcomed, safe, and comfortable. I've created and implemented many little, thoughtful things that have a big impact on the experience in my salon. I can't wait for you see it for yourself.

Master Stylist | Curly Specialist
Meet Sara! Sara has been in the hair industry for 7 years. She is a Florida native but grew up in Greenville/Taylors since she was 8 years old. Outside of work, Sara is a big Disney fan (otherwise known as a Disney adult). She loves to read and hangout with her husband, Adam and their fur baby, Harley.
Sara specializes in lived-in color techniques, curly hair care and styling, and brunette coloring.
Although her clientele is mostly built, she is still accepting new clients!

My name is Angelika! I have now been a stylist behind the chair for two years. I am so excited to be a part of this vibrant community of hairstylists here at this salon. I have dedicated my career to specializing in blonding services, helping clients achieve their dream hair! When I'm not in the salon, I love spending time outdoors in the sun and cherishing moments with my family and friends. Hannah
Master Stylist | Blonding + Extension Specialist
Hannah is an Unorthodox OG since 2021. She is born and raised here in SC, and is a new mom to a baby boy. Hannah specializes in blonding and extensions. Hannah attended a cosmetology program while in high school and has been doing hair for 5 years now. Hannah loves to make sourdough everything in her time that she's not at the salon. Maria
Junior Stylist
Maria is a Kenneth Schuler graduate that spent the last year assisting Allison. She is now taking clients behind the chair and building her clientele. Outside of the salon, Maria creates and sells press on nails and also provides lash services. Maria is focused on learning to specialize in fashion colors and edgy haircuts. Junior Stylist
I'm Katie! I recently finished my assistantship with Sara, and am taking clients on my own now! I am born and raised in Greenville SC and graduated Paul Mitchell of Greenville for cosmetology in November of 2023. I love a good cup of coffee and playing with my puppy Bandit. I love to do all things color and I am also extensions certified. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to start my career in a hair industry while learning from my fellow stylists at UDX.

Finn
Therapy Dog
The best greeter you'll ever meet. Finn is originally from Ohio and was adopted in 2017 by his mom, Allison. Finn has been with Unorthodox since it very first opened in 2021. He is a six-year-old English Setter & Pitbull mix (yes you read that right!) Finn became a registered therapy dog in 2018 after going through training back home in Ohio. He has the best personality, and the softest fur! We hope you don't mind cuddles and giving pets. You can find Finn sleeping around the salon hopping to different chairs, greeting guests as they come in, looking for his mom, and roaming around to see who will give him love.
